Toujours in Zürich in the Poster Gallery of the MFG, an exhibition that tells the story of the encounter of the rigorist Swiss and the undogmatic Italians. Zürich HB – Milano Centrale – A graphic encounter, until the 27.Feb.

" This exhibition sheds light on the period between 1948 and 1970, when drawing into “Milano Centrale” station did not just offer an individual fresh start for young Swiss graphic designers, but also a defining moment in design history. Being cosmopolitan was not without its difficulties, but brought lavish rewards to many graduates of what was then the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich. Equipped with an education that Italy could not offer at the time, Swiss graphic artists were met by a new and inspiring approach, optimistic and undogmatic. Italy’s path to highly regarded visual communication was marked by a close transalpine dialogue and brought Milan the reputation of a city that was well worth leaving home for."
