The Louis Ghost chair was designed by Starck and produced by Kartell. With a witty mélange of high technology and collective memory it recalls the xviiith chair also known as médaillon Louis XVI.

HELLO HAND 2

_________________________________________________________________________________________
Ah ugliness! So attractive... What was the deal with designers and hands anyway...

The 'baseball' couch was designed by De Pas, D'Urbino et Lomazzi and was called Di Maggio in homage to the famous baseballer Joe di Maggio. The overall design reminds me of the pseudo anti-conformism and anti-conventionnal aspect of the pop 70s.

HELLO HAND

Some design can be beautifully ugly. Afterall everything is a matter of taste...Dada chair by Enzo Berti.
"Dada has, as its inspiration, the artistic and literary movement founded in 1916 in Zurich by the Romanian poet Tristan Tzara. Dadaism stood as the negation of all rational and received ideas. Instead, it celebrated the act that is gratuitous and arbitrary.

In one of BureaudeBank pics one prolly recognized the famous Universale chair. This chair was a gift from Joe Colombo to Roberto Crippa. Both artists lived in Milan and studied at the Brera Academy.
They were part of different art groups as Joe Colombo was a member of "Art Nuclear" and Roberto Crippa "Spazialismo," however they knew each other and had mutual friends such as Fontana and Matta. The Vitra Design Museum recently made a complete retrospective of Colombo's retro-futuristic work. Worth checking it again.
