Be Kind Rewind follows Jerry (Jack Black), a junkyard worker who attempts to sabotage a power plant he suspects of causing his headaches. But he inadvertently causes his brain to become magnetized, leading to the unintentional destruction of all the movies in his friend’s (Mos Def) store. In order to keep the store’s one loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair re-create a long line of films including The Lion King, Rush Hour, Ghostbusters, When We Were Kings, Back to the Future, Driving Miss Daisy, and Robocop, putting themselves and their townspeople into it. They become the biggest stars in their neighborhood.

Bless came to fame in the winter of 97/98, when the models of a Martin Margiela fashion show wore Bless wigs made out of fur. Heralded as one of fashion’s most innovative designers, the Paris and Berlin-based duo (Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag) quickly refused to capitalize on one milieu. Constantly investigating the boundaries of style, Bless slides from fashion to beauty, interior decoration to art exhibition, collaboration with other brands to stylized advertising.
Their production, which sits on the fine line between art object and design, high function and high fashion, is always unique and marked by the recycling and adaptation of unexpected items put to use in a totally new way.

" This exhibition sheds light on the period between 1948 and 1970, when drawing into “Milano Centrale” station did not just offer an individual fresh start for young Swiss graphic designers, but also a defining moment in design history. Being cosmopolitan was not without its difficulties, but brought lavish rewards to many graduates of what was then the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich. Equipped with an education that Italy could not offer at the time, Swiss graphic artists were met by a new and inspiring approach, optimistic and undogmatic. Italy’s path to highly regarded visual communication was marked by a close transalpine dialogue and brought Milan the reputation of a city that was well worth leaving home for."

Mala Noche is Gus van Sant's first movie (1985). It's a take on Walt Curtis' notebook: the love story between a guy from Oregon and a mexican wetback. The movie had never been released on DVD so run for it! I still prefer the first version (left) of the movie poster, simply perfect!

I❤The Sunny Boys!
Cyriac Allard and Donald Abad have been collaborating with each other since they met at the Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Neo-romantism, sporting rules, performance and guineapiggism highlight their video works which is in turn fun, ironic and fresh.
Entre Deux est un espace symbolique d'expérimentation et de rencontre de nos deux univers artistiques. Un terrain loin de la civilisation, où la confrontation directe de nos corps d’Hommes avec la Nature, l'apesanteur, la hauteur d’un rocher, la pente d’une montagne, un arbre isolé sont autant d'évasions symboliques. Les notions d'effort, d'endurance, de contemplation, de défi, de dualité, d’entraide et d'absurdité habitent chacune des scènes.
L’Entre Deux est également géographique, l’ensemble des performances ayant été tourné dans deux lieux différents, à Ikaria (île d’Icare), et dans la chaîne des Aravis (Haute Savoie).
Tel un voyage initiatique, chacun a investi un lieu en fonction de ses thématiques, comme autant d’épreuves:
Ikaria devient pour Cyriac Allard une recherche d’ascension impossible où la chute apparaît comme inéluctable. L’élévation comme moyen de dépasser sa condition humaine, sortir de l’entre terre et ciel, pour effleurer un soleil.
Quant aux Aravis, la montagne se transforme en terrain de jeu pour Donald Abad. L’occasion de transposer des gestuelles sportives, de symboliser l’entraide, la lutte, la recherche du geste parfait face à l’immensité de la Nature inclinée.
Chacune de nos vidéos est un plan séquence, brut, à l’image de nos espaces de jeux.

Diplômé en 2001 et post-diplômé en 2002 de l’ENSAD, Donald Abad définit son univers artistique comme du «multimédia néo-romantique», qu’il matérialise à l’aide de la vidéo, l’interactivité et la performance.
Diplômé de l'ENSAD en 2005, Cyriac Allard travaille la vidéo et la photographie pour rendre compte de ses performances. Tour à tour danseur, support et co-auteur, sa collaboration avec Donald Abad remonte à plusieurs années.
Entre Deux est la poursuite d'un projet amorcé par Cyriac Allard en 2004, qui trouve dans la dualité de nouvelles règles du jeu.

To play the record the handle needs to be turned in a clockwise direction at a steady 331/3 rpm. The paper cone then acts as a pick up and amplifies the sound enough to make it audible.

This map plots the location of FM commercial and pirate radio stations within London. The poster works in its own right as a piece of information design, but when connected to the modified radio it becomes part of the interface. Placing a metal contact onto each point enables us to listen to the sound broadcast live from that location.
